It was a fun day catching some St. Patrick’s Day cheers. The day started with working with the early morning children to prepare the green spinach crepe batter. Kids enjoyed measuring and pouring. The art and craft activities of shamrock tracing and necklace making were enjoyed too. Green Park was the chosen one today by all, fitting given the theme. It was fun to see all the kids in different shades of green today. Green spinach crepes, broccoli, zucchini and tomato beans were consumed fast by all.
From one festival to another. Next week on Thursday we have 2 festivals...Iranian New Year “Nowruz” and Indian celebration of spring “Holi”! We will switch some eats around and certainly eat an Indo-Irani meal on Thursday plus enjoy arts and craft for the same. Last year we also started a tradition of coming together to play Holi in Foster City where Parks and Rec organizes it. This year, it is being hosted on Saturday, March 23 between 11:30 am - 3:30 pm. There is food, colors and music. The children enjoyed playing and dancing together so I hope we can all congregate again. I believe the Avid Kids Moms are connecting and reaching out for the same. Sharing the link for FC Holi here so you can look into it and join in next Saturday between noon - 2pm (https://www.fostercity.org/parksrec/page/holi-festival-colors)
Enjoy a longer weekend with the children. See you all on Tuesday!
